The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) of Nigeria is pleased to announce that eight members of its management team have successfully completed the Senior Management Programme (SMP) at the Lagos Business School (LBS). The graduation ceremony was held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the LBS Lekki campus situated at Km 22, Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos.
Among the graduates are notable leaders from the Council, including:
- Felix Azubuike, Head, Corporate Services
- Comfort Osondu, Head, Directorate of Corporate Governance
- Mufutau Olasunkanmi, Head, Directorate of Actuarial Standards
- Harris Oshojah, Head, Directorate of Inspections & Monitoring
- Ibe Ibe, Head, Directorate of Accounting Standards – Public
- Ugochukwu Nwora, Head, Directorate of Valuation Standards
- Adeleke Adewole, Chief of Staff to the Executive Secretary/CEO
- Abubakar Razaq, Head (Policy, Planning, Research & Statistics and Sustainability Reporting)
The graduation ceremony featured several distinguished guests, including Professor Enase Okonedo, Vice Chancellor of the Pan African University, who delivered the opening remarks. Prof. Olayinka Davis-West, Dean of LBS, welcomed attendees with a thoughtful address, while Dr. Oluwatoyin F. Sanni, Founder and Executive Vice-Chair of Emerging Africa Group, served as the Guest Speaker.
In a significant moment during the ceremony, the graduates were inducted into the LBS Alumni Association by Dr. Owen Omogiafo (OON), President of the association, marking the beginning of their journey as alumni of one of Africa’s premier business schools.
This achievement underscores the FRC’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and professional development among its leadership team, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the complexities of the financial reporting landscape.
