Following Nigeria’s early adoption of IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards and subsequent inauguration of an Adoption Readiness Working Group (ARWG) on sustainability reporting, the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) of Nigeria has developed a Roadmap Report for Adoption of IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards in Nigeria (DRAFT). The document, to be called Roadmap Report for Adoption of IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards in Nigeria, is now in the Exposure Draft (ED) phase of the FRC Statutory Regulatory Document Development Stage.
The Council now seeks to engage stakeholders in Nigeria as a further mandatory step to the issuance of the Report. We hereby request all interested individuals, groups, associations, organizations, and entities to provide documented comments and feedback on the draft report to FRC, on or before March 14, 2024, to the following email addresses: arwg@frcnigeria.gov.ng, rgabubakar@frcnigeria.gov.ng and aaodo@frcnigeria.gov.ng.
